Meet French Mentor Nadia Clark
Nadia Clark emigrated to the U.S. from northern France in 1981
and started teaching French in Prescott Valley and Prescott about six years ago. Initially, she taught French through Prescott
Valley Parks
and Recreation and private lessons. More recently she has been teaching evening
classes in Yavapai College’s Community Education program. In fall 2011, she
mentored PC student Avery Young in the independent study format
in a course called Intermediate French II. As a native speaker of French who is fluent in
English as well, Nadia is well qualified to teach all levels of French
language. She enjoys creating learning
experiences tailored to each student and focuses on speaking and listening
skills that help students use French in real conversations with French
speakers. To learn more about Nadia and how to learn French, check out her blog. For more information about an IS in French, contact the Learning
Commons Coordinator.
